Below is a quick-reference guide to frequently asked questions about the practical aspects of working with me!
Who do you work with?
– Teenagers aged 15+ and adults
– Individuals, joint sessions involving loved ones, and groups
– I specialise in ADHD and autism, eating disorders, body image, emotional dysregulation, self harm, addictions, and supporting LGBTQ+ folks.
– I can also help with self esteem, nutritional and sexual health, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges
How do you work with clients?
– Holistic, compassionate, inclusive, and practical, my practice also draws from my own experiences of recovery
– Using evidence-based approaches to focus on the psychological, behavioural, and biological factors that maintain distress or get in the way of wellbeing
– Work with me is specifically focused on supporting you to improve your mental and physical health
where do you work?
– In person, I have a private, cosy space in the town centre of Glossop, right next to the train station and bus stop, with free parking nearby
– Online, I use Teams or Google Meet
– Many clients choose to see me hybrid where we alternate between face to face and virtual therapy sessions.
– I offer walk and talk sessions in Glossop (weather depending!)
How often do you usually see clients?
– I offer regular appointments or ad-hoc bookings
– You can choose a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly slot on the same day/time if you’d like, or, we can work flexibly and book whenever works
– I see most of my regular clients on a fortnightly basis; often we’ll start weekly, then step frequency down as we make progress together
how long are sessions?
– Standard sessions last around 50 minutes
– I offer shorter 30-minute support sessions for ongoing clients
– I also offer longer 75-minute sessions for walk-and-talk or session contents that just need a bit more time and space
– I don’t require any commitment to a specific number of sessions or duration of therapy
What are your fees?
– I offer an introductory bundle of 4 sessions at £100/session (£400 total)
– My standard fee is £120 per 50-minute session
– I offer ongoing clients blocks of 4 sessions at £110 per session
– It’s important to me to make therapy accessible as much as possible.
– I offer a concessions rate of 1/3 off (£80)
– I give a small number of free sessions to clients accessing me through the social prescribing team at the Bureau
